Well after a few hiccups i'm finally on the road to Port Douglas! :) I set off from Melbourne at 1pm so only managed to get to a place called Holbrook over the New South Wales border. Found a wee campsite, but the time I got there it was dark and raining, so was a bit of a nightmare setting everything up. But I guess it was good practice!!
The Hume Highway...empty..as far as the eye can see!!
Rural Victoria is called Country Victora. Dunnyo why, but anyways it reminds me alot of the Scottish Borders..Rolling green hills and rain!!! :)It's the road from Gala to Hawick!!! :)
After about 3 hours of driving into New South Wales the weather really started to pick up. It's amazing what going 700km north does to the temperture! It's also weird seeing all the british city and town names. Geographically they are all over the place!! :)Blacktown!!??
I also have two travelling buddies.."Karma Cat" who waves at everybody and "Bender"!! I'm not too sure about his name...but anyways! Bender's party trick is that he does a full 360 degree rotation in 3 and half hours!! Must be something to do with the vibrations!! So I have invented a new measurement of time!!! :)2 "Benders" from Sydney to Mebourne!!!
Must admit Sydney does look like a lovely city. Will have to come back and explore it properly!!
